BRADFORD SPEEDWAY RULES 2008
PLEASE READ ALL THE RULES, SO THERE IS NO MIS-UNDERSTANDING.
1)The rules and/or
regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct
of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such
events. The rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating
in these events, all participants agree to comply with these rules. NO EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATION OF, OR COMPLIANCE
WITH, THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the
conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death
to a participant, spectator, or official.
The race director shall be empowered to impose any further restrictions that
in his/her opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT THERE FROM. Any interpretation of
these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. THEIR DECISION IS
FINAL. Bradford Speedway is private property. Any person on this property
without permission is guilty of trespass and subject to the penalties of the
law. Through your registration or association, you have been given the authority
and the right to be on this property in conjunction with racing activities.
HOWEVER, THE ADMINISTRATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REVOKE AND CANCEL THIS AUTHORITY
AT ANY TIME. PROTEST
ANY DRIVER
INVOLVED IN A ON TRACK PROTEST WILL BE BARRED FROM FURTHER COMPETITION. AND
FORFEIT ALL POINTS AND EARNINGS FOR THE SEASON.
1.)The Speedway assumes no responsibility for damage to or loss of your equipment,
vehicle, tow vehicle or any parts by any means whatsoever.
2.)MINORS: See us in advance so we may prepare the necessary releases
for your parent or guardian's signature. Don't wait until race day! (14
thru 18 yrs.) Make sure you understand the waiver or releases. Proof of age
required. Anyone under 18 will need a notarized
release signed by both parents.
3.)When in the pit area maintain a constant watch for your own protection.
RESERVED PARTICIPATION RIGHT.
Bradford Speedway
/ promoter reserves the right to refuse or
accept the entry of any car or
participant. Furthermore,
Bradford Speedway
or the track promoter reserves the right to revoke or cancel any entry, or
any participant's claimed right to be on the track premises, if it is felt
or determined that a participant's presence or conduct is not in the best
interest of the sport of auto racing, the other competitors, the spectators,
track management, and or employees. NO REFUNDS.
Drivers will only be allowed to compete in one class per night.
They must
be licensed and registered to run in different classes on other nights, in
that class (exception move up night).
GENERAL RULES
The general rule
section applies to each and every racer, owner, track personnel, pit
Personnel, vendor and anyone else not specifically mentioned above. Some items,
obviously, do not apply to each class- you can easily determine which rules
do not apply to you. You are expected to know the rules- ignorance will not
be tolerated as an excuse. No private vehicles in the pits. No dogs in the pits. No 3 wheelers, 4 wheelers , or golf carts,
etc.
DRIVER LICENSING -
All drivers must be licensed as drivers. Regular and substitute with the
Speedway. No TRACK unlicensed drivers will be permitted to drive.
If anyone unlicensed is caught driving. No points,
No money, awarded for that evening. Heat or feature.
2.) Independent Contractors
All participants are independent contractors and are not the agents or employees
of Bradford Speedway. Racetrack participants, as independent contractors,
are solely responsible for preparing their racecars, to perform in racing
events, in accordance with the rules and procedures. As independent contractors,
participants are solely responsible for compensating their employees, agents
or pit crewmembers. Participants, as independent contractors, also assume
full responsibility for reporting or filing any reports or tax returns with
the appropriate authorities on any and all earnings or funds received as result
of their participation in Bradford Speedway racing events, including but not
limited to, Federal Social Security taxes, Federal Income taxes, State Income
taxes, Federal and State withholding taxes, unemployment taxes, and workers
compensation insurance.
Abuse of Officials
No participant shall subject any Speedway official, employee
or sponsor to any abusive or improper language at any time, may be suspended,
and /or loss of 10 points per incident.

Competitor Obligation
Every driver must inspect the racing surface and the race track area to learn
of any defects, obstructions, or anything, which, in the driver's opinion
is unsafe and the driver shall report that condition in writing to a track
official. Any driver entering any racing event is considered to have inspected
the track and determined that all conditions are satisfactory. If the driver
does not feel that conditions are satisfactory, then the driver should not
race. The driver and passenger further acknowledge that he or she is aware
that auto racing involves risks and that by competing in an event he or she
assumes these risks with full awareness and knowledge.
Amendment of Rules
Bradford Speedway reserves the right to delete, supersede or modify any rules,
exhibits or drawings that it deems necessary for the betterment and, or safety
of racing.
Promotional Release Pits or Stands-This copyright protected by law.
Any competitor who wishes to compete, consents to the use of his name, picture,
video of himself and for his publicity, advertising and endorsements both before
and after the events. They also relinquish any rights to photos and videos
taken in connection with events and consents to the publication or sale of
such photos and videos as the speedway so desires.
Driver & Team Responsibilities
At any time the conduct of any team member or driver is a discredit to the
speedway, or to himself, he or she may be removed from all racing activity
at the speedway. The driver is responsible for all the people associated with
his car. (This includes the grandstands)& pit crew in all aspects.
The
driver shall be the sole spokesperson for his/her car owner and pit crew in
any and all matters, and must talk with the track official in charge regarding
their conduct or behavior. Any violations may subject the offender to suspension depending upon the seriousness
of the incident. Any continuing problems
from the same individual may result in permanent suspension.
W e demand courteous conduct from all participants at all times. We will not
tolerate profanity in front of race fans or officials or management. Profane
signs on your car, sex signs, etc. are forbidden. We expect you to look like
a professional and act like one! Be clean, uniformed, and look respectable.
Any time your dress, action, or conduct is not in the best of interest of
the raceway, you will be told to leave the grounds and/or loss of points.
CONDUCT-
If you feel a need
to apologize- do it off track property.
Remember- you must keep your temper under control. Be professional, you're
representing your sponsors.
Entering another person's pit, in an aggressive manner, and or verbal
abuse, threats, the finger, etc.
1st time 10 point loss and or 1 week off
2nd time
20 point loss and or 2 weeks off
3 rd time - Done for the season. To be determined by track personal, not he
said, she said.
Fighting-
(touching another person)-Minimum 1 week off and or loss of 20
points. Subject to penalties of the law. YES YOU CAN BE
ARRESTED
ALL INVOLVED MUST LEAVE THE GROUNDS.
Donuts or reckless driving in the infield or pits- loss of 10
points, per incident. Throwing dust and rocks will not be tolerated.
Control your temper.
Unsportsman like
conduct-
done for the night, no points, no money and/or suspension. This includes deliberately hitting another
car. HEAD HUNTING or Deliberately hitting another car,
Before, during, under caution or after the race. See Unsportsman like conduct.
Alcoholic Beverages
Driver who's pit is
involved will loose 25 points.
Consumption of beer or alcoholic in the pit area, or being under
the influence of beer or alcoholic beverages in the pit area is prohibited
until the entire program for all divisions is completed. If a participant
is caught consuming alcoholic beverages in the pit area, or is deemed to be
under the influence of alcoholic beverages in the pit area, before the entire
program for all the divisions is completed, he/she shall be immediately ejected
from the pit area or premises and shall be subject to a mandatory fine of $50
to be placed in the point fund.
Drug Policy
Illegal
drugs:
Driver who's pit is involved will loose 25 points.
Prescribed Drugs: If a participant is using prescription drugs on the
advice of a physician, such use must be reported to the chief pit steward
or racing director prior to the participant's entry into any speedway activities.
A doctor's release must also be presented.
Injury Information /
Claim Information
When involved in an accident ALL DRIVERS MUST BE CLEARED BY
TRACK MEDICAL PERSONAL BEFORE
RETURNING TO COMPETITION. Advise the racing
officials immediately so the necessary reporting will be accomplished. NO
CLAIMS WILL BE CONSIDERED UNLESS REPORTED PRIOR TO LEAVING THE SPEEDWAY PROPERTY
at the time of the incident.. Contact the safety crew and give them a full report before you leave
the speedway. If physically unable, crew chief must be responsible for this report.
B.) General Prohibition:.
Possession or use of illegal drugs or drug substances, as defined above, is
prohibited in any form, either on the speedway grounds or in any area considered
to be used in the operation of the speedway, such as parking lots or leased
properties.

Points
1.)In order to run the mid-season championship, or season championship the driver must have run
in at least 1 point races prior to the race.
Please note: Bradford Speedway reserves the right to open these races to new
cars if there is not a full field. New cars start scratch.
2.) Black flag 5 show up points - FEATURE ONLY, no
money, NOTE unsportsman like conduct no points or
money.
3.) Pit steward & points. All questions about the points to be directed to the pit steward.
BEFORE OR AFTER THE NIGHTS RACE.
4.) Point fund: To qualify for a share of any available point money, a driver
must be licensed by the speedway, a paid registrant and compete in half of the scheduled races and must be at awards ceremony.
Track Policy NOTE
NEW RULES
New for 2008-
spin another driver- go to the rear with them or black flag, determined by
track officials.
If on the last lap, to be determined by management. Either last place
points or unsportsman like conduct. ( Ass packing) deliberately slamming the car in front of you. You
will be put to the rear, or docked 10 points. No brakes, no excuse, pull off the track for the safety of all.)
New for 2008- If you need to go to the pit during the race, and your in race traffic go threw the turn and then threw the infield away from traffic,
Delay of race and / or arguing with officials on the track or infield, 20 point penalty. , APPROACHING THE FLAG STAND At anytime a driver approaches the flag stand, before the completion of all the nights activities are complete, driver will be docked 20 points by the scorers, at there discretion. Excessive spin outs 2 unassisted spins that bring caution out- last place points, Flagged off mechanical. IF YOU DO NOT GO OFF, NO POINTS NO PAY. Qualifying driver must run the heat to run the feature.
Drivers can only compete in one class per night, exempt move up
nights, and enduros, demos.
Pay off Procedures-Speedway members, voluntary or paid, are independent
contractors, not employees of the speedway, and assume full responsibility
for any taxes or charges on any funds they receive from the speedway.
The driver shall earn all
points; all payments made to the driver, unless
prior arrangements have been made at the track office BEFORE the race. Pay off will be made only for events actually completed. Never will any
event be paid when it was not run. When a program is shortened by rain or some unfortunate event, it is considered
complete and no rain checks issued, payment will be made for events completed.
In this event a lengthened feature may be run at the next practical time.
A driver has a maximum of (4) weeks to pick up pay off. Money not
claimed will be forfeited.
SUBSTITUTE
DRIVERS - DRIVERS WILL BE ALLOWED 1 SUBSTITUTE
DRIVER
PER SEASON.
Car must be in same class.
(No substitute drivers for mid & season championships). MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO EXTEND THIS RULE WITH
DOCTORS SLIP.

Awards earned, to be presented at the banquet, will be forfeited, if awarded
person is not present at the banquet. The banquet is for your recognition, please plan to attend. Point checks will
be forfeited if not attending banquet. All drivers must be licensed to receive pay-out. Any unlicensed driver
forfeits earnings.
Disagreements and Technical Questions
1.) The officials and management will resolve disagreements over technical
questions and operations. When their decision is rendered, such decision is
final and binding.
2.) The speedway management and officials will establish the length, frequency
and administrations of events and programs. Exceptions to the rules and specification. May be
made at the discretion of the management.
3.) Any complaints, disputes, questions or problems must be directed to the
Speedway management immediately following the event for their action-in writing-
DRIVER ONLY.
4.) Continuous developments in racing may necessitate changes that we cannot
anticipate at the time the rules are formulated. Hence, we may if necessary,
update, modify, and add to or delete rules and or scheduling. The Except in rare instances
rule is always applicable.
5.) You must be 14 years old to participate
as a driver, with
BOTH
parent's notarized consent. unless prior race experience ( test required)
6.)The-rule book does not address all aspects of a racecar in detail. Any
variance or interpretation to the rules is at the tech man's discretion, not
yours, thus any part, item; equipment not specified or approved by tech officials,
can be declared non-compliant.
Finality of Decision and Interpretations
Covenant Not to Sue
The decisions of Bradford Speedway and/or track officials at Bradford Speedway,
including the interpretation and application of rules and the scoring of positions,
shall be final, binding and non-appeal able. All participants, as a condition
of participating in a Bradford Speedway racing event, agree that all decisions
of Bradford Speedway and/or track officials, regarding the interpretation
and application of the rules, and scoring of positions, shall be non-litigable.
All participants further covenant and agree that they will not initiate any
type of legal action against Bradford Speedway, Dennis Thomas, promoter,
to challenge such decisions, to seek monetary damages, to seek injunctive
relief or seek any other kind of legal remedy. If a participant pursues any
such legal action, which violates this provision and then the participant
expressly agrees to reimburse Bradford Speedway or Dennis Thomas, promoter,
for its entire attorney's fees and costs in defending against such legal action.
Disqualification by Technician
D.Q. by tech will lose all points and awards for the night. Tech reserves the right to allow 1 week for minor infraction repair. DQ no pay, no points.
Review Procedure-A participant desiring review of action
taken by officials must submit a WRITTEN request for review, accompanied
by any relevant documentation, within one (1) week. Driver only
Review and Decision
An review panel will review the written request and documentation
submitted. The management, in its sole discretion, may elect to confer by telephone
with the affected participant and/or interested parties, The management
will make a decision within seven (7) days.
NON-COMPLIANT Parts shall be any parts or components of a race car,
or any alterations or modifications to any components, that do not meet
the particular rules and specifications of the class in which the car is competing.
And any parts with identification numbers missing or altered.
Disallowed if not Allowed-If the rules do not specifically allow a part or
component, or do not allow alterations or modifications to a part
or component, it is up to the driver to have the tech approve, before the
part or component is used.
Removal or changing of Identifying Marks-Any grinding, defacing, or otherwise removing
or obliterating casting marks, casting numbers, or any other identifying marks
or numbers on a motor or chassis part will automatically render that part
non-compliant. D.Q. by tech.
Reserved Teardown
Right
Tear Down-After the feature race, the track official reserves the rights to
tear down the engine of any racecar in any class. This reserved tear down
right is separate and distinct from any inspection to which any racecar in
any class is subject.
Timing and Scope of Inspection-All race cars competing in Bradford Speedway
racing events are subject to inspection by Bradford Speedway track officials,
at any time, and to any extent or degree, as determined.
Post Race Scaling in all classes, Any driver required
to scale, immediately following the qualifying and/or feature events, who:
A: Does not go directly to the scales, or
B: Avoids going to the scales, or
C: Does not remain at the scales until scaled, or
D: Does not meet the minimum weight for the class, according to the scale
Should take note: They shall be disqualified from the heat race and shall
forfeit all points for the heat race, but will be allowed to start at the
back of the consolation or feature race. (After making weight.)
If its a feature race, the driver shall be disqualified and will forfeit all
points as well as all prize money for the feature race, but may still be subject
to the claim rule, if applicable. At tech discretion- tolerance for overheating
only. Must check with tech first.
Types of Inspection
Minimum Specifications Inspection-An inspection, usually conducted at the
beginning of a racing season or a racing event, to determine whether a race
car complies with the minimum applicable rules & specifications. This is
in no way a guarantee of safety or assurance that a car will pass a post race
inspection. Any deficiencies or rule violations discovered must
be corrected before the race car will be allowed to compete in the racing event.
Management reserves the right to allow 1 week variance for new cars.
Post-Race Inspection-An inspection, conducted after a racing event, to determine
whether a race car complies with all of the applicable rules and specifications,
for that class of race car.
Effect of Prior Inspection The fact that a race car has passed a minimum
specifications inspection, a pre-race inspection or any inspection at another
race track or event, is no guarantee or assurance that the race car will pass
a post race inspection.
Cooperation of Driver- In connection with any type of inspection, the driver
must cooperate with track officials, to enable track officials to conduct
or complete an inspection, including removing or disassembling various parts
or components.
Refusal or Termination
of Inspection by Tech
Any driver who refuses to allow a pre race-inspection
to be conducted will not be allowed to compete in the racing event. NO
REFUND
Any driver who refuses to allow a post race inspection, or who terminates
an inspection in progress, forfeits all points and also forfeits all money
and awards for that event.
At any time before, or after an event, track officials may require
additional measures or equipment, or make additional determinations, as they
deem necessary.
All cars are subject to inspection at any time.
It is the responsibility of the driver to prepare his/her car to comply with
all minimum specifications, to be free of defects, and in safe racing condition.
No sharp edges. Fenders are to be rolled under- not out. Anyone loosing
weights
on the track will be DQ. car numbers must be on all weights.
1.) Competitor Agreement Regarding Rules
A participant, by competing in a racing event, specifically agrees and acknowledges
the following:
1.)That he or she is familiar with and understands all of the rules and procedures
as set forth in this rulebook. And is in safe medical
condition, with no know health problems or conditions.
2.)That by applying for a competitor's license or by participating in a racing
event, he or she specifically agrees to abide by all of the rules and procedures.
3.)That by entering a racing event, a competitor certifies that his or her
race car meets all of the requirements of the rules for participating.
4.)Track officials will resolve any disagreements over technical question
or operations. When their decision is rendered, it is final and binding.
5.)That if, as a result of an inspection, tear down, protest, or claim, a
competitor's race car is determined to be non-compliant, it is the sole responsibility
of the competitor, who bears the burden of proof, to prove that his or her
race car is in compliance with the applicable rules and requirements.
3.) Protest ANY DRIVER
INVOLVED IN A ON TRACK PROTEST WILL BE BARRED FROM FURTHER COMPETITION. AND
FORFEIT ALL POINTS AND EARNINGS FOR THE SEASON.
Visual Protest must be turned into the tech in writing. NO
TOOLS REQUIRED
Non Visual Protest
-$250 per protest, put up in cash by driver only.
Must be in writing stating time, date, name of protester and description of
protested item. Name, number of car, and class of person being protested.
If competitor is legal, protester forfeits his $250. Of this $250, the sum
of $150 goes to the driver of the protested car, $100 goes to the track point
fund. If competitor is illegal , protester retains $150, the sum of $100 goes
to the point fund.
Engine Pumping Rule -This engine pumping
rule is applicable to any race car , running or not, and regardless of whether
otherwise disqualified.
The track official will advise the driver which cylinder will be pumped.
A
driver who refuses to be pumped shall be deemed DQ by tech.
Refusal of Protest-A
driver who refuses to allow an inspection/ teardown shall be subject to the following penalties.
Driver
forfeits all cash and all contingency winnings for the event, any trophies
earned in the feature, plus loss of all points earned that night. NO REFUND
General Safety Rules
Helmets-Helmets and eye protection are required and must be worn at all times when the car is
on the track. Full face helmet is strongly recommended.
Driving Suit- A complete driving suit of a flame retardant material must be
worn by all competitors. Underwear, socks, shoes, gloves, and hood of fire
resistance material are highly recommended.
Exhaust System-Must exit behind the driver to the outside of the car. except
street stock can run open headers.
Batteries must be securely mounted and shielded. No batteries in
drivers area.
Loose Objects-Loose objects and/or weights will not be allowed above the interior
deck or in the driver*s compartment. Any weight added to other areas of the
vehicle must be securely mounted using a minimum of two (2) half inch bolts through
the weights. Weights must be painted white and have your car number painted
on them. No plastic coated dumb-bells. Anyone loosing a weight will be DQ
.
Shoulder Harness, Belts, Restraints,& Nets-A competition shoulder harness, of at least three(3) inches wide, and a lap belt at least three(3) inches wide
are required. No OEM factory type shoulder belts or straps will be allowed.
Metal to metal buckles are required on the shoulder harness and the lap belt.
The harness must be mounted in at least four points below the driver's
shoulders (SUBSTRAP) recommended.
WINDOW NETS are mandatory
Roll bar padding is mandatory. Neck brace is strongly recommended.
kill switch is required and be within easy reach of the driver
with the shoulder harness and lap belt fully cinched. This kill switch must
be clearly marked off* and on. Must shut off fuel pump and alternator on
fuel injection. Check it running, we will
Drive shaft hoops are required and must be mounted in such
a manner as to contain the drive shaft in case of breakage. The drive shaft
MUST be painted white. car # on it.
Bell housing Explosion proof is recommended.
Fuel Pumps and Lines-No pumps in driver's area. Fuel lines must run outside
drivers area, unless braided or in steel conduit.
Radios-Mirrors-No
radios of any kind are allowed at any time. no mirrors at this time.
Steering Wheel-It is mandatory that all cars be equipped with a collapsible steering shaft.)
Fire Extinguisher-All cars must have an charged dry powder type fire extinguisher
with a working pressure gauge within reach of the driver.
Seat-Aluminum or approved plastic at least one quarter inch thick. Secured top, back and
bottom to a frame work providing bottom and back support. An approved headrest is required, attached to the seat
and cage. Aluminum is highly recommended. MAY USE stock type bucket in 4 cylinders, street stocks,
or factory stock WITH ATTACHED HEADREST- secured to cage.
Skid Rails- allowed in all classes. Must be 1-1/2 inch or smaller,
inside the body, rounded ends, with round-headed bolts.
The car # as requested by the car owner if NOT ALREADY ASSIGNED, on a first
come-first served basis with the previous years holder of that number receiving
priority . Numbers will be painted on both doors at least 18 inches high by
3 inches wide. A complete name shall be painted on the roof in letters at
least 3 1/2 inches high. Numbers on windshield at least 4"x4".
No letters please-
numbers only.
Firewall and Floor Pan-Front and rear firewall & floor must be complete and both must
be of not less than 20-gauge metal securely welded and sealed.
Roll cage-On the left side, these bars shall be installed as close as possible
to the outer door skin. Right sidebars do not have to extend into the door.
Two vertical rows of bars shall be installed into the door bars on each
side. Two bars shall be installed which extend from the cage to the rear of
the car. All materials for the roll cage shall be a minimum of 1-1/2" OD tubing
a minimum of .090" wall thickness for seamless tubing. 1-1/4 for minis Full welding of all
joints is mandatory. NO TACK WELDING. Most serious accidents happen when a
car gets hit on the driver's side (T-Boned). Make sure you put extra tubing
in the driver's door and also on the lower side where your feet are. MAKE
SURE YOU USE LOTS OF ROLL BAR PADDING. Roll bars and side bars in the drivers
area shall be padded from below the window to the center of the roll cage.
A *NASCAR LOOP* shall be optional but highly recommended. Loop begins at the front posts of the roll cage extending
forward to the motor, but no further than 8 " in front of the radiator- must
be behind the grill and bumper.
Racetrack Operating
Procedures
The only people allowed on the race track are officials and participants.
The only people allowed on the entrance/exit ramp are officials. Everyone
must stay away at all times unless requested to assist for some special reason.
Drivers may seek a place of safety in the infield following disablement. When
crashed STAY IN YOUR CAR. DO NOT GET OUT AND INSPECT THE DAMAGES WHILE THE
CARS ARE ON THE TRACK. PIT CREWS, CAR OWNERS, AND PERSONNEL RELATED TO ANY
CAR ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE TRACK FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT OR INJURY , unless directed by track officials.
Do not enter the racing surface or entrance ramp without expressed authorization.
An official will O.K. your entry at the track entrance and signal for you
to proceed. Penalty loss of 20 points.
Our program is based on the availability of enough vehicles. If the number is to low, alternate scheduling or programming and/or
purse may be used.
Racing events will be lined up in various ways to accomplish the
best racing program.
Any driver may change cars within class (with approval of officials) prior to start
of race. (Start of race is the field accepting the first green flag; Driver
must start at the rear of the field.)
NO DRIVER MAY stop HIS CAR ON THE TRACK OR INFIELD TO ARGUE OR DISCUSS
THE RACE WITH THE STARTER OR OFFICIALS. IF THIS RULE IS VIOLATED, 20 point penalty and/or D.Q.no points no money.
Any event is completed when the leader has run half of the scheduled
length and/or terminated by the officials for any reason.
BLACK FLAG-5 show up points, no money. We will not pay you to
destroy some
other car.
DQ by TECH No points-no money. Tech reserves the right to allow one
week for miner infraction repair.
DOWN TWO LAPS. This does not apply to all mechanical blacks, mainly
under qualified drivers
and cars not properly maintain and ready for competition. (one lap wonders) ANY COMPETING VEHICLE WHOSE SPEED HAS BEEN REDUCED TO A POINT WHERE IT
CAUSES A SAFETY PROBLEM, RETARDS TRACK ACTIVITY, OR IS DOWN TWO LAPS CAN BE

to the pits. If not, you will receive the black flag and disqualification.
Mechanical black must re-enter the race at the tail.
Deliberately cause a yellow - Anyone found to

not be allowed to re-enter
the race. Black flag- no money, no points. Spin and sit -5 point penalty per incident.
Spin and go- Driver will be awarded 1 point for not bringing out the caution.
Any one deemed involved with the accident will be
directed to the rear.
NO repairs made to your car on the racing surface, or
off ramp, you must enter the pits. 20 point penalty.
If not in the line up chute in our spot when the cars start
on
to the track, you will bring up the rear.
TOW HOOKS If you do not have (front and rear tow hooks), you may be pushed to the infield.
Restarts - The races may be started single file depending on the car count or official decision. Races with less than 10 cars will start double file until 3 laps to win .Depending on cautions and time.
1st lap start-If there's an
incident before the first lap is
official the field will be completely restarted. 2nd attempt the car or cars bringing about the restart
go to the rear of the field. Including jumping the start.
FLAGS.
GREEN FLAG-Signifies
the beginning of the race.
Yellow Flag- All cars must reduce speed and fall into line. If you pass
under yellow you may be put to the rear if you don't comply the first
time. Intentional delay of
race results in being docked 20 points for each offense.
RED FLAG- Stop immediately.
Blue & Yellow Flag- lap flag, move over on
the raceway. If you still will not move over, you will receive the black flag,
(5) points and no money.
Black &Yellow Flag-Mechanical Black - You must
report to the pits.
Black flag with white cross - Go to the back of the field penalty
or you will receive the black flag.
Mini's and Pure stocks
These classes are designed with the beginner racer in mind. The idea behind the division is to keep the car stock . Any sedan, subcompact, or compact car or truck. No convertibles, or 4wd. No hi performance or turbos. All drivers must have identification and notarized parental consent as needed. Drivers cannot race in another class. This class is to be of minimal cost, so anyone who wants to race inexpensively may. There will be a minimum pay-out. We want to keep these classes low budget. These are entry level cars for racing, FUN , not race cars for spending money. If you want to spend money, go up in the ranks.
Chassis, stock production
only, no special order. No hi performance. no rotory, t urbo or super
charged.
Heads, Pistons, Block- The engine must remain stock as manufactured. No
headers or racing parts whatsoever. No block decking. Flat top or dish pistons
only. What ever came stock. No milling, porting, or polishing of head or intake. No racing
parts or non-stock production, what so ever.
Carb - Injection- No more than one carb or stock fuel injection.
Must match year and make of frame. No turbos or super chargers. Starter- Must be self starting with at least forward and reverse.
Body- Stock original uni-body with full floor, firewall trunk and inner
fenders. All glass must be removed. The windshield to be replaced with
hardware screen and 2 support rods, top to bottom in front of driver. All
floors and firewalls to be complete and free from holes. Driver's compartment
is to be completely separated from the engine and gas tank area. May
cut out hood, trunk lid, and driver's door. Must have hood and deck
lid pins.
No oil or tranny coolers in driver's compartment.
Batteries - Can be relocated, but not in driver's area. Must be bolted
down- no straps, rope or bungees and must be covered with rubber (inner tube).
Doors- Must be welded or bolted shut.
Kill Switch - Must be connected to alternator and fuel pump if so equipped-
check it running, we will.
Cockpitting - May run aluminum from passenger door slanted to floor at center hump to work
as a slide only. Must retain full floor. (mandatory)
Hood- Trunk - Must be attached with quick release pins, can cut for lightening.
No springs.
Roll Cage - Must be at least 4 point with plate welded to bottom at floor-
welded and bolted recommended, recommended plates welded to halo and be
bolted with 1/2 inch bolts through the roof with heavy-duty washers. Must
have min.3 door bars, concave into door. Minimum 1 and one
quarter inch diameter-
X behind the seats. ALL GAGES MUST BE WELDED IN COMPLETE NO TACK WELDING.
Tow Hooks -Mandatory front and rear for wreckers or we will push to
infield.
Nerf Bars- Skid Rails- 1inch diameter max, rounded ends and round headed bolts.
Bumpers-Must be stock for that car with light reinforcements.
or 1.5 inch pipe max. behind the covers with rounded in ends that cannot be hooked
by another car or cut into another car.
Valance Bar- Maximum 1-1/4 inch diameter- must be behind header panel no wider than frame.
Tires- Wheels - Stock tires and max 8 inch wheels only- stock size only. No DOT racing
tires, no mud and snow tires. May use all season. No 50 or 60 series. Any
removal of identification will make them illegal. No side lugs on the tires
like snow tread design, even if there all-season , ask tech. No racing tires
or racing recaps. may run offsets. can run 13 or 14 in any combination.(minis) Can run cambreige retreads.
Spring- Shocks - Must have stock factory suspension. No racing springs
or shocks or spacers Nothing can be added or removed that interferes with the stock suspension.
Example: chains or cables or any other limiting devices. IF IT ISN'T
FACTORY STOCK PRODUCTION ITS NOT ALLOWED.
Fuel Cell-or tank maximum 16 gallons. Keg can be used if
approved by tech. Pipe protection around fuel cell mandatory. CAN RUN STOCK TANK, ONLY IF
in FRONT
OF THE REAR END, with skid plate AND NO rust or leaks. Any leaking fuel,
car will not be allowed to race.
Fuel Lines - Steel or braided only- not through driver's compartment.
Fuel Pumps - Electric only if it came stock. Not in driver's area.
Must be connected to kill switch.
Fire Extinguisher- Must be in reach of driver, mounted on floor.
NO TAPE. Must be dry powder type ABC, with working gauge.
Fire Suit - Must have long sleeve fire suit, top and bottom or clean coveralls.
Fire suit
recommended.
Fiberglass-Any fiberglass hatches are to be removed.
Seat- May use stock seat with head rest but aluminum is highly recommended.
No rusty floors. Seat back must be bolted to the cage.
Spin Rule- Caution will be thrown only if car is in a dangerous situation.
If you sit to bring the caution, you will be docked 10 points each time at
the scorer's discretion. And may not be allowed to re-enter the race.
Spin and Go 1 point given for not drawing a caution.
Bracing is allowed to protect the radiator and tie in strut towers to
the cage. One 1-1/2 inch pipe in front of the radiator, no cow catchers. Rear
bracing is the same as the front.
Drive axle - can weld for posi, front or rear.
A-Frames - stock only, can be reinforced on the
right.
Lug nuts & studs - larger than stock recommended
New Rules for 08 4 cyl Charger Rules (kids class)
Note - age will depend on experience and or ability to be determined by management.
Any pushing a car out of the way to pass, including pinching into the wall, going in to hard and using another for a bumper car, cutting down on another car, YOU will be put to the rear. I know you have to learn and that is why we are letting them get seat time but at the back of the pack so they can learn the right way. Spin another car, you go to the rear with them. This will be enforced to the best of our ability.
MOVE UP RULE - If the track promoter feels that a driver does not belong in the charger class based on level of experience or car, the promoter reserves the right to ask for a move up vote by the driver's competitors. This can be done starting with the 4th week of the racing season. The track promoter is the only person with the authority to call for such a vote. The vote will be by secret ballot and only other chargers drivers competing during the days events will be eligible to vote. Any driver may choose not to participate in the voting. If less than ½ of the eligible drivers wish to vote, the track promoter may assume that the move-up vote is not warranted and the vote may be called off. If over ½ drivers elect to participate in the vote, balloting will take place during intermission and the decision will be announced immediately. A majority of all votes cast is required to force a driver to move up and it will take effect the following week. An average of all drivers in the class, points will be awarded to the move up driver for starting points in the new class. (Bradford)

computer testing port plug is mandatory.
4. Max. 2 valves per cylinder.

6. Body must be stock. Inner fenders must remain. For trucks, bed must
remain complete and intact. Truck tailgates may be replaced with screen or net.
If tailgate is left in, must be securely welded or bolted to bed. No
cockpitting or closed interiors.
7. Stock spoilers allowed. No aftermarket spoilers or ground effects.
8. No holes in hood.
9. Stock bumpers no reinforcement! May replace stock rear bumper with a
max. 1 ½" round metal tubing, rounded on the ends and into the body, no
wider than the body.
10. Stock fuel tank with skid plate front to rear (we will decide if its
ok)
Tank may be moved to trunk. Must be completely separate from drivers
compartment. Racing fuel cell with metal cover also permitted.
11. All burnable must be removed. All glass removed. All chrome removed.
No antennas.
12. Screen (min 1/2'") required for windshield.
13. Minimum 4 post cage, 3 bars or steel plate on L/side, 2 on R/side.
Front hoop allowed. Do not over reinforce. It's to protect the radiator, not to
be able to use your
front end as a battering ram.
14. Skid rails allowed 1 1/2 " max dia. tucked in on ends
15. Stock bucket seat OK. Headrest to be attached to roll bar Racing seat
allowed.
16. 5 point harness required.

19. No holes in floor. All holes must be patched with

21. Rear end may be locked on rear wheel drive vehicles.
22. Rims max. 6 inch wide, max 14" diameter stock (OEM) wheels,
or
heavy duty, stock offset, steel rims. or factory stock aluminum.
23. Street legal tires. Street legal recaps allowed. No racing or winter
tires. All four RIMS must be the same size. meaning wheel size only, that allows
for a kid to learn a little about set up or stagger.
24. EMPHASIS ON STOCK!!! All parts must remain stock. No aftermarket,
racing, or high performance parts. With the exception of safety items and
otherwise allowed items, If it didn't come on the car or truck from the factory
or isn't a like-kind replacement, then it isn't allowed in this class. Don't
over-build, over-engineer, or over-spend. That is not the intent of this class.
Please refer to our Mini Stock class if you have a little more of a racing
budget. Right now there isn't a claimer in this class. Don't bring the vehicle
that makes us decide to implement one.

2008 Mini Stock Rules
Any 4 cylinder sedan, subcompact, compact two door car or truck. No hood scoops, (No holes in hood). No 4 wheel /AWD vehicles permitted.
BODY: Stock type rear spoilers
allowed (must be for car it is installed on). Body must remain stock.
May fabricate frame front and rear, using 2 X 3 tubing from strut tower
in front forward and centerline of rear axle to the rear.
Must have stock floor pan and original trunk floor No tubbed interiors
Trunk area maybe opened for fuel cell installation
No firebirds or camaro's
All glass must be removed and screen placed in windshield area with 2
support rods. No holes in firewall or floorboard. Engine/fuel area must
be sealed off from driver
Must have front hoop and leg hoop to protect driver. Must have complete
4 point roll cage, installed in a professional manner. 1 ½" .095
wall steel tubing, with three door bars on drivers side and two door
bars on passenger side.
BUMPERS: will be stock type fascia. All
exterior bracing/bumper must have a max. 1 1/2" od. All exterior
tubing must be round and radiused back into and attached to frame or
cage. Front and rear tow hooks are mandatory
Must use steel, to tie front frame, to rear of car. MANDATORY
at all tracks BUT Bradford speedway although it is recommended.
SEATS: Must use aluminum or solid fiberglass racing
seat. Seat must be fastened to roll cage, NOT TIN. Must have 5 point
racing seat belt harness. Seat belts recommended not to exceed more than
5 years old and must be securely bolted (not chained).
FUEL CELL: fuel cell is recommended. Max.12
gallon cell must be mounted in a safe manner. Must have protection loop
behind fuel cell and must be protected front, rear and bottom with
minimum 18 gauge steel and be a minimum of 12" from the ground. If
fuel injection; you must have both fuel and electric shut offs. If
stock tank it must have a skid plate & no leaks.
WHEELS: Max. 6 " Racing wheels allowed Recaps
only. 185,195, 205 - 70 - 14 cars that came with 13" tires, may use
13" DOT instead of 14". All 14" tires MUST be Cambridge
recaps or may run DOT tire. NO snows or luggers.
SUSPENSION: Must have stock suspension. NO racing
shocks or springs. Must match side to side. NO limiting devices such as
cables or chains etc.
ENGINE: Engine must remain stock as manufactured and
computer testing port plug is mandatory.

WEIGHT: Minimum weight is 2500 lbs. All added weight
to be behind the driver. bolted with (2) ½ inch bolts bolted securely.
EXHAUST: Exhaust must exit behind driver.

PURE STOCK
Note: The track reserves the right to change, amend or delete
any rules that make further clarifications and/or corrections.

ACCEPTABLE VEHICLES - All North American mid and full size
front wheel and rear wheel drive cars and compact trucks (Ranger, S10, Dakota)
are allowed unless otherwise excluded. Excluded vehicles are compact cars,
sports cars, mustangs, full size trucks, vans, sport utilities, station
wagons, and rear engine cars. If there is any question as to whether a car is
acceptable, the car builder should contact the track prior to buying or
building the car. Drivers building a front wheel drive car should contact the
track before beginning to build the car to make sure it will be legal. The
track will only allow mid-size and larger front wheel drive cars.
CARBURETION - Electric fuel pump allowed only if it came
stock. Cannot be mounted in drivers area. Fuel pump must be connected to kill
switch. Production fuel injected cars may be changed to carburetion. Stock
factory carburetors only. No big block carburetors allowed. Carburetors will
be checked for venturi size. No modifications allowed whatsoever to the fuel
injection system.
BODY AND FRAME - Body must remain stock. Must have stock
factory frame (or unibody) only. All glass and flammable materials such as
interior door panels, dash components and seats must be removed. All chrome
must be removed. Stock original doors only and must be welded or bolted shut.
The windshield MUST be replaced with a screen. Original floorboards must be
maintained. No cockpitting. If trunk floor has been removed, it must be
replaced with sheet metal covering all openings. Front and rear firewalls must
remain stock and all openings in firewall must be covered. All frames must be
in good shape. All rust repairs must be done in an acceptable manner using 1/8
"or thicker plate steel and following original contour of the frame.
ROLLCAGE - A roll cage must be installed with at least 3 bars
on the drivers side and 2 bars on the right side. No outside skid rails or
nerf bars. A roll bar MUST be placed in the center of the windshield following
its contour. All roll bar joints must be welded shut. Rear roll bar must form
an X behind the drivers seat. Roll bars may extend into the engine compartment
and trunk. Roll bars must have a thickness of .095 inches. No exhaust tubing.
TIRES - Street (stamped DOT) tires ONLY with 8" maximum
tread, NO bigger, NO racing compounds, NO winter tires, No softening.
Cambridge recaps (Street Stock Tire) also allowed. Any removal of
identification markings on tires will make tires illegal.
WHEELS - No aluminum wheels. steel wheels only tires must be
inside the fender wells. Wheels
must be reinforced by, adding larger washers or oversized nuts if using stock
wheels. Racing wheels allowed .
7" or 8" rims only . Racing wheels
must have larger studs and 1" lug nuts. Larger studs and bolts are
allowed and encouraged for all wheels for safety reasons. Wheels must not
protrude beyond the body line.
BRAKES - Brakes must be in perfect working condition. NO
BRAKES IS NO EXCUSE FOR AN ACCIDENT. OEM brakes and brake systems on all four
corners with no modifications to stock OEM brake system except that emergency
brakes may be removed. No aftermarket brake pedals or master cylinders.
FUEL CELL - Fuel cells are mandatory. Gasoline and no
other fuel may be used.
REAR END - Rear end may be welded.
ENGINE - Max 350 cid Chevy, 351cid Ford, 360 cid Mopar. Max
overbore is .030 STOCK Crank and connecting rods only. Stock cast iron heads
only, no angle plug heads for GM. Flat top or dished pistons only. No porting,
polishing, matching, machining, or milling of block or heads. Must have 17
in/lb vacuum at idle (this will be enforced) Max
compression 175lbs, with full cranking battery, no plugs, and throttle fully
open.
TRANSMISSION - Transmission must be OEM automatic with stock torque
converter or stock single disk clutch and flywheel on stock OEM standard
transmission. All gears must work.
WEIGHT- Car with a 6 cylinder engine must weigh a minimum .Amended
4-08 6cyl weight 2800lbs Cars running up to a 305-GM, 302-Ford, or 318-Chrysler or other v-8
motor under 318 cid must weigh a minimum of 3200 lbs. Any car with a motor
from 318-360 cid must weigh 3300 lbs. NO exceptions.
SPRINGS AND SHOCKS - Stock springs only. They may be cut but
must be stock for the make and model of the car. No racing shocks allowed. No
Stock appearing aftermarket springs.
STEERING AND SUSPENSION - Steering and suspension system must
remain as factory manufactured. Quick release steering wheel and column
allowed.
TIRE CAMBER RULE - Negative camber can be added to the right
front wheel for safety purposes.
STOCK RULE - Other than the safety requirements or other
modifications specifically listed above the car must remain completely stock.
The frame, wheels, tires, engine, suspension, transmission and body must
remain stock. EMPHASIS IS THIS CLASS ON STOCK!!! It is NOT intended for those
that want to OUTSPEND the competition. Any removal of factory identification
marks will make the part illegal.
SAFETY - Cars must meet all General Safety Specifications in
addition to any safety requirements specific to Pure Stocks. No exceptions.
REMEMBER THIS IS FOR FUN AND TO LEARN, NOT TO SEE WHO CAN OUT SPEND THE REST. I WROTE THESE RULES TO KEEP IT LOW COST AND LET THE RACER*S BRAIN AND ABILITY RULE, ALSO TO BE SAFE AS POSSIBLE. not apply when the caution comes out, or for a multi car incident. Mainly one
or two car spins.

Competing cars must have roll bars or door plate, min.& max. 12 inches beyond the seams of the door. Roll bar highly recommended. No other reinforcement. No bars past the firewalls.
Gas tanks may be in the trunk NO LEAKS & not in
drivers compartment.

A firewall must be between driver’s compartment and trunk area.

Any
Batteries in side, must be secured & covered. (Rubber min) with rollover

Screen must replace the windshield if removed. And all other glass taken out.
All chrome, lights, trim, and ALL burnables,including carpet, head liner seats, except dash must be removed.

Points
Heat
- Points (1st-3) All who finish on the lead lap receive 1 point.
Must finish on the lead lap to garnish points. Any Driver who starts
the heat but can not make the feature receives 5 show up points. Heat black
flag 0 points. Feature Black Flag 5 show up points.
2. Any car/truck that runs a heat or consolation race but does
not qualify for the feature will receive 5 show up points.
3. Any car winning a heat race will receive 3 bonus points. Others
who finish on the lead lap 1 point.
4. Double the usual number of points is allotted for the
mid-season & season championship race.
5. Low handicap point car starts in the front of the field,
unless otherwise stated prior to the nights events.

car will receive point money unless it participated in at least half of the
point races during the year, and is a paid Licensed & registered Driver.
Points follow the driver. Charger
class will be trophies only no point moneys.
Top
10 in points to receive point money. Drivers must be at awards ceremony to
receive point money.
